About Rodney Harrier

Here is the insider information about me.

Hello! I am Rodney Harrier, a committed Christian, husband, father of four adult children, and grandfather of four children (so far).

In 1987, I earned a B.S. in Bible from Clarks Summit University in Clarks Summit, PA. Since then, I have been an active Bible teacher and have led in various church settings. My mission is to help typical people understand the Bible and apply it to their lives. Chronological Bible studies are helpful tools to accomplish this task. You can get a printable version of the one-year daily chronological Bible studies’ schedule here.

These Bible studies are very relatable. I believe you will be challenged daily to live your life pleasing to God and that it will positively affect your relationship with others.

Please let me know what you think by clicking on the “comments” link at the end of each Bible study.

The site and content is continually improving. In 2020, I began this blog, connecting truth to life.org to connect with you.

My Spiritual Journey

In 1995 I started reading The One-Year Chronological Bible (ISBN 0-8423-5090-X). I did this every year, and I liked it because it arranges the Bible in the order the events probably (or at least possibly) occurred. I found the Bible easier to understand when put together that way. It gave me insights that I would have otherwise overlooked, and I knew others could also profit in the same way.

A Daunting Assignment

In 2008 I searched for a Bible study for the Chronological Bible for my use and for my students. I searched in bookstores and the internet but could not find one. It was at that time that the Lord spoke to my heart to write the Bible studies myself. This was a daunting task, bigger than I could ever have imagined; I was overwhelmed with the thought of writing 365 Bible studies! However, God reminded me that he had given me this ability, so I had no excuse. He is a big God–to Him be the glory!

Since 2009, tens of thousands of hours have been put into research, prayer, writing, design, and editing this website. Many time sacrifices were made, and occasionally the devil tried to trip up the work, especially when the focus of some Bible studies warned of his evil schemes.

The Lord blessed this work by giving me someone to design the original site and connect all the links to the New Testament. Then, when she was done, a gentleman volunteered to make all the links for the Old Testament. A Pastor read through my material for any theological inconsistencies, and a former high school teacher guided me through the first grammar edits. Later, my Word-Weaver group and writer’s conferences sharpened my writing skills. Study tools such as timelines, maps, links to daily Bible reading, charts, and pictures have been added.

Sharing

I started writing the devotionals for my benefit, but I was so blessed I started sharing what I had written with others. They told me the Bible studies were good, so now I am writing them for you. These are provided with no costs or strings attached. I hope you will be as blessed reading them as I have been writing them.

Every day has been a faith journey as I rely on His help to rightly divide the Word of Truth and be faithful to God and the messages found in his book, the Holy Bible. It has been a spiritually rewarding journey for me. I hope you will come with me and discover how God’s truth affects your personal life.

What I do

My ministry: I publish and maintain the blog you are reading and this website: chronologicalbiblestudies.com. Many visitors from all over the world come and visit, and they are all welcome. I am continually improving these Bible studies, and currently, I am trying to publish them in book form and audio.

There are at least 15 reasons to love these unique chronological Bibles studies. After reading them, you can understand God’s Word better than you ever have before in one year. Try them out here.

We each have a spiritual journey. Like yours, mine has its hills and valleys. A major one was my wife’s depression. You can read about how we survived it here. God has proved himself faithful in each and every trial, though I can’t always see his hand at work. His Word gives me wisdom for living, and his Spirit is always with me. He gives me strength and confidence in him. He knows what he is doing, even if sometimes I don’t. Would you like to talk about your journey, give a testimony, or interact with the Bible studies? There is a comment block for you to use on each page or post. It would be a thrill to meet you and interact with you on this blog or by email.

May you be blessed today as the Lord works in your life for his glory and your benefit.

P.S. You might wonder, do I have a regular job? Yes, I have operated The Master’s Touch cleaning service in central IL since 1990. Here is a link to that websiteYou can join my Facebook group for cleaning tips.
